لَيْسَ
لَيْسَ is a deficient verb that exists with its subject in the nominative case and with the predicate in the accusative.
A deficient verb does not express motion, like a regular verb, but affects the case ending of subjects and predicates similar to verbs.
Nominative here implies when the subject carries a damma
Accusative here implies when the predicate carries a fatha
