Yah abiibi, 'o'çuḍ wi irtaaḥ wi ana ḥa'raalak gawaab ḥub wi baçdiin ḥagiblak il 'ahwa.
çaliyya - My love, sit down and relax and I will read you a love letter and then I will get you the coffee.

إيهْ ياروحي؟ حَتِقري إيهْ؟ اِلْقَهْوَةْ بِتْنادي
Eh ya ruuḥi? ḥati'riili eh? Il 'ahwa bitnaadi.
Naçiim - What my dear? What will you read me? The coffee beckons.

أيْوَهْ ياحَبيبي. أنا حَاقْرا لَكْ جَوَابْ حُبّْ وِبَعْدينْ حاجيبْ لَكْ الْقَهْوَةْ
Aywa ya ruḥi. Ana ḥa'raalak gawaab ḥub wi baçdiin ḥagiblak il 'ahwa.
çaliyya - Yes, my love. I will read you a love letter and then I will get you the coffee.

بَسْ اِلْقَهْوَةْ بِتْنادي دِلْوَقْتِ...
Bas il 'ahwa bitnaadi dilwa'ti...
Naçiim - But the coffee beckons now...

يا نَعيم، إحْنا حَنِفْضَلْ مِتْجَوِّزين لِلآخِر
Ya Naçiim, Iḥna ḥanifḍal mitgawaziin lil 'axir.
çaliyya - (She begins to read). Naçiim, we will remain married to the end.

وِيا نَعيم إحْنا حَنْموتْ سَوا
Wi ya Naçiim iḥna ḥanmuut sawwa.

وِإنْتَ هايِلْ عَشانْ إنْتَ دايْماً حَتِسْألْني إزّاي كانْ يومي
wi inta haayil çaŝaan inta dayman atis'alni izzaay kaan yommi.
çaliyya - And you're wonderful because
you will always ask me how was my day.

صَحيحْ. إيهْ! اِلْقَهْوَةْ حَتيجي إِمْتىَ؟ دا جَوَابْ حُبّْ وَلاّ جَوَابْ نَكَدْ؟
ṣaḥiiḥ. Eh! il 'ahwa ḥatiigi imta? Da gawaab ḥub walla gawaab nakad?
Naçiim - Correct... What! When
will the coffee come. Is this a love letter or a letter of ridicule?

إنْتَ حَتِفْهَمْ الْجَوَابْ زَيْ ما تِشوفْ
Inta ḥatifham il gawaab zay matŝuuf.
